Description
The Joseph Sheffield House, demolished in 1957. Architect Ithiel Town designed and built it as his own residence, and in 1859 it was expanded by Henry Austin. The Sheffield Scientific School is named for a later occupant, Joseph Sheffield. Yale's Dunham Laboratory is now on the site.
