Trinity Lutheran Church located at 292 Orange Street was built in approximately 1870 and is an example of High Victorian Gothic. It was designed by David R. Brown who worked with Henry Austin on the New Haven City Hall project.

Designed by architect Ithiel Town, this house at what was then 29 Elm Street was the home of Eli Whitney Jr. and his family. The Bullard Building occupied the site by the 1940's. Now an office building is on the site.
