Description
Located on the north side of the New Haven Green, this is one of the few remaining Georgian structures that has survived the development around the Green. This 2 1/2 story frame dwelling was built circa 1770. The home was originally built for Nicholas Callahan who was a notorious Tory during the Revolution. He housed British troops there during the invasion of New Haven in 1779.
